Kudos! Wines NorthWest named our 2007 Avery Vineyard Zinfandel and the 2007 Primitivo "Wines of the Week" on successive editions in August 2009. Kudos! The Wine Spectator magazine online edition reviewed our 2007 Avery Vineyard Zinfandel in June 2009 and gave it a score of 88!. Kudos! The Wine Enthusiast magazine reviewed our wines and their comments will appear in the August 2009 edition. The 2007 Three Angels Avery Vineyard Zinfandel was awarded a score of 89 and the 2007 Les Collines Vineyard Zinfandel was awarded an 88! Kudos! Seattle Wine Awards shared their Grand Awards of Excellence with Three Angels by naming our 2007 Avery Vineyard Zinfandel OUTSTANDING. Kudos! KEX 1190 AM Radio's Grape Adventurer Jim Mclaren featured Three Angels and their Zins on an April 17, 2009 broadcast. The multi-media presentation linked above was also posted on the KEX 1190 website. Kudos! The Portland Indie Wine Festival invited Three Angels to pour our 2007 Primitivo at their event to be held on Saturday, May 2 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at the Porltand Wine Project located at 2621 NW 30th Ave, Portland. Of the over 175 wine submissions taken from nearly 100 wineries, only the top 40 wineries are selected to pour their wines at the festival. Only wines submitted and ranked by the jury will be poured during the festival. Kudos! The Dallas Morning News Wine Competition awarded our 2007 Primitivo a Silver medal and the 2007 Les Collines Vineyard Zinfandel from Walla Walla a Bronze! Kudos! Our logo has been granted an award from Graphic Design USA magazine. Thanks to Anton, Scott, & the gang at Kimball Design! Kudos! The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition recognized each of our wines for their category; Zinfandels under $25. The competition is the largest of its kind...judging nearly 5,000 American wines. Our Avery Vineyard Zinfandel won Gold, the Les Collines Vineyard Zinfandel won Silver. Our Primitivo was awarded a Bronze medal for Red Italian Varietals! We released our 2007 Vintage wines on Saturday November 22, 2008. We had a successful first outing during the Thanksgiving holiday that has led to a busy month of December shipping wine. Thanks for your support! Three Angels Crush 2008! Our first fruit harvested this year was from StoneTree Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope AVA. The Primitivo and Petite Sirah we source from this vineyard were harvested on September 18. We brought in our StoneTree Zinfandel on September 22. The Coyote Canyon Primitivo from the Horse Heaven Hills was harvested on October 1. The Avery Zinfandel near Maryhill, WA was brought in on October 23. Our coolest site, Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla, was picked last (Half on October 25th and the balance brought in on October 28th). These wines are now in barrel and are presently undergoing malolactic fermentation. During the May 2009 Memorial Day weekend, we plan on showing barrel samples of some of these young wines. Our first wines from the 2008 vintage will be released November 2009.
